This policy explains what Fair Oaks Ranch Plaza (“we”, “us”) collects when you use fairoaksranchplaza.com, what we do with it, and your choices. We try to say plainly what the site really does today.
Who we are

Information you give us
- Contact and leasing forms: your name, email, phone, business name, and message.
- Email updates: your email address and, optionally, your first name. We only send community news, events and specials, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Business listings: if you confirm a listing, the details you provide (business name, category, description, phone, website, hours, logo) and your name and email so we can reach you. Listing details are published on the site only after we review them; your name and email are not shown.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, referring site, campaign tags in links, device and browser type, and approximate location (city) derived from your IP address.
- A random visitor ID stored in your browser (a cookie and local storage, up to about two years) so we can recognize repeat visits. It does not contain your name or email unless you submit a form or click a link from one of our emails.
- Session recordings and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity) show how people move through pages so we can fix confusing ones. We tell Clarity to mask everything typed into our forms, and it masks passwords and payment details by default.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4) measures traffic and which pages lead people to contact us.
- Map: the Visit page shows a Google map only if you click “Show interactive map”; Google may then set cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Your preferences, such as the text size you choose, are stored in your browser.
How we use information
To answer you and arrange leasing; to run the business directory and publish confirmed listings; to send the email updates you ask for; to measure which pages and campaigns work; and to keep the site secure and working. If you submit a form, we may connect your contact details to your earlier visits to the site so we can follow up helpfully.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help run the site, under their own privacy terms: our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Supabase), our customer-management system (operated by the same company that manages the plaza), our email delivery provider, Google (Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity). We may disclose information if required by law.
City of Fair Oaks Ranch information
News, events and road closures shown on this site are fetched from the City’s public website by our server. Your visit does not send any information to the City.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any message, or ask us.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete information we hold about you, or to remove a business listing, by contacting us above.
- Block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser; the site still works. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
